Resumption of eligibility
If a seaworthiness certificate has expired, i.e. the last day of the certificate has passed, the pilot must contact a flight school, ATO or, until further notice, also an RF, with permission to train for seaworthiness. The school must propose an individual training plan that is approved by the school director. The Swedish Transport Agency does not therefore need to approve the training plan.
After completing the training, a PC is carried out with a seaplane controller and if approved, the authorization is renewed for another 24 months. If the authorization has expired but is on the certificate, the PC controller can enter this into the certificate directly, otherwise a temporary authorization and a new one is issued by the Swedish Transport Agency.
