Täby Seaplane Club conducts supplementary training for seaplane rating. The training takes place at our premises in Hägernäs. At our disposal we have several experienced flight instructors with extensive experience in seaplane flying. The training period extends from May to October.

Seaplane flying is a fantastic way to fly and offers great freedom to visit places you would never reach with a regular aircraft. However, it places higher demands on the pilot than regular land-based aircraft do. The aircraft is greatly affected by waves and wind, which can make takeoff, landing and navigation on the water demanding. The pilot must also pay close attention to the presence of shallow water, floating objects and boats in the takeoff and landing area.

To maintain their qualifications, the pilot must complete a so-called PC (proficiency check) at regular intervals.
